Skoda Superb Combi has left the assembly line

The first series-produced Superb Combi has left the assembly line in Kvasiny (one of the plants of Škoda Auto) this afternoon. The car comes with the Elegance equipment level, a 2.0 TDI CR DPF engine (125 kW), an automatic transmission and a grey satin metallic colour.

Offering really generous space, the volume of the luggage compartment of this upper-medium class vehicle is 633 litres, and 1,865 litres with the rear seats folded down. None of the competitors currently offers a similar capacity in the medium class segment.

The Superb Combi is 4,838 mm long, 1,817 wide and 1,510 high. The basic price of the vehicle with a powerful petrol engine (1.4 TSI/92 kW) and a six-speed manual transmission starts at CZK 589,900 (in the Czech Republic). The engine portfolio for the Superb Combi is identical with that for the Superb limousine.

The new Škoda Superb is a great success. The manufacturer delivered altogether 33,434 Superbs to customers from January till October (of which 623 first-generation vehicles), 78.2 % more than it had over the same period of last year. Besides the Kvasiny plant, the Škoda Superb is produced in China and assembled in India, Russia, Kazakhstan and the Ukraine . [via Škoda Auto]
